Brief History of our Lodge No5865
Erdemont Lodge was established during the dark days of the Second World War, on 15th April 1943. The men who founded the Lodge were stationed at Dartford and the surrounding area, mainly working at the many local engineering works or engaged in other activities vital to the war effort.
These men wanted to come together, away from work, to meet socially, support each other and do all they could to help charities and relieve the suffering of the local community.
Sir Winston Churchill (1874 – 1965) – became a Freemason on 24th May 1901
